Happy Fall Y'all

Yes I am the worst at updating my blog. So here's a recap starting in September.

Oaklie started potty training in September and she has done great from the get-go. I am spoiled because she is such an easy kid. She's sitting on her "guck" seat (duck). She has such a tiny little bum it was hard for her to balance on the seat! She thinks it's awesome so we're all happy.

Amaya is the queen of sleeping in weird positions. She is dead asleep in this picture, I swear. I call this one "The Plank". I need dedicate a blog post just to her weird sleep positions, I have a ton of pictures.

Amaya started gymnastics in September and she LOVES it. I was worried that she was too young to really learn anything, but we have seen a huge difference in her coordination, balance, and confidence. I think getting to run around burn some energy is helping her sleep better at night as well.

Dallas left the end of September for OCS in Georgia. Before he left we spent the weekend in Boise with some friends and went to a BSU game.
This picture was taken like two days after I stopped wearing my scarves. This haircut is called, "Enough hair to not wear a scarf but not enough hair to look like a girl." I try really hard not to go anywhere without makeup  :) My hair came in that dark! Sometimes post-chemo hair comes in darker or curly. Thankfully mine just came in dark.

It was the BYU game. I thought this was funny.

Try not to look too excited about life...

Sending Dad kisses

I love this picture because Oaklie's hair is so long with perfect curls! It was taken the day before Amaya decided to take a chunk out of Oaklie's hair. THAT was a bad day, to say the least.

As Oaklie would say, "Same same!"

Our countdown to Dad coming home!

And this was taken about and hour before the hair cutting incident. I know it sounds silly, but I was about as upset about Oaklie getting two inches lobbed of the side of her hair as I was about losing all of my hair. There's something about being a momma...

This is Amaya's creation. She was very proud. That is a hamburger bun, fruit snacks, carrots, and celery. Yum.

We made snack necklaces one day. Shhhhh! This is how my kids look when we don't leave the house all day!

We built a fort. Excuse me, a clubhouse like Mickey Mouse's clubhouse.

Amaya decided that Oaklie was sick. "Time for your check up!"

It's getting closer!

We got a crazy snowstorm the week before Halloween! The girls had a blast playing in the snow. Oaklie was a little nervous at first. The snow off our back step was about 18 inches deep, so I just tossed her out of the kitchen door and into the snow. She wasn't very happy with me, but she warmed up to the snow after awhile.

We had to have a long talk about what kind of snow we eat and what we don't.

Oaklie passed out on the couch.

A few days after Dallas left, I took the girls out to cupcakes to cheer them up. They had been moping around the house and missing their dad :( They both licked the frosting off the top like an ice cream cone and didn't touch the cake part. Next time I think I will just buy a can of frosting.

Cute little cousins

I love being a mama to my sweet girls. Cancer taught me to treat every day I get to take care of them as a gift. Even the stomach flu days and even the tantrum/i-won't-take-a-nap days. Every night I thank God I had another day to be their mom and that my body is healthy enough that I can do the little things like wrestle on the floor and give bubble baths.

"Oaklie! Say Cheese!"
