Happy Veteran's Day!

Today's Veteran's Day and I wanted to take a minute to recognize the wonderful people who have sacrificed so much for our country.  I'm very thankful to live in a country where the gospel flourishes and I can live and raise my children without fear. I'm very grateful for those men and women who have been deployed two, three, four times and continue to go because they have a commitment to our freedoms.

Some shout-outs to some veterans who are very special to me:

On the left is my Grandpa and Grandma Clark, although technically not a veteran, my grandpa served in the Army for several years.
On the far right is my Grandpa Breedlove with his wife, Sherry.  He served in the Korean War where he had several teeth knocked out and lost hearing in one ear.  I'm also very grateful to him and my grandma.  They are the pioneers in my family.  They joined the Church in the 1960s, shortly before my mom was born.

My husband, Dallas.  He's a wonderful person and an awesome husband and father.  I'm so grateful he was willing to serve and help so many people.

Although we weren't married when he was deployed, I'm still grateful for his service and so proud of him.  We made the decision last week for Dallas to extend his contract with the National Guard until the end of 2011, and I'm thankful he's so willing to give up so much for others.

Dallas' brothers--Tyson (right) and Ryan (left).  They're both wonderful men and great examples to me.

This is us in Utah over general conference weekend. From left to right: our good friend Cesar and his fiance, Ally.  Bracken, Dallas' cousin, and his wife Katie, myself and Dallas.  All three of these boys served in Iraq.

I'm sure Dallas would also like to mention his cousin, Russel (sorry, best picture I could find!)

Happy Veteran's Day to all of our wonderful people in the service!
