Soon to be (temporary) Texans

Normally I don't like to post unless I have pictures to put up because that's my favorite thing about blog stalking others, but I lost the battery charger to our camera, so, sorry amaya! no pictures of you at seven months! Hopefully it turns up.  Anyway, I decided to post because there are actually more people who read this than I thought. :)
Only 4 1/2 weeks until we move to Fort Worth, TEXAS for the summer. I'm super excited, because the apartment we'll be at has this pool:

Yes I'll be swimming in that every day, even though I'll be so pregnant I could be mistaken as Shamu in the water. I'm absolutely ecstatic about swimming this summer, so excited that I already bought Amaya a darling yellow swimsuit.
Also, the day we leave is also the day we find out if the peanut is a girl or boy.  If I was a betting woman I would put $200 on the baby being a boy, more if I had it. :)

Couple of milestones I have no pictures or videos to mark:

  • Amaya has been army crawling for about 6 weeks now.  Dallas is so proud she's following in his footsteps.
  • Two teeth have appeared on Amaya's gumline, perfect for destroying DVD cases and biting me when I try and dig out of her mouth whatever she picked up off the kitchen floor.
  • Also, she sleeps facedown and keeps getting her head smashed in the corner of the crib during naptime. I seriously think she's dead everytime I walk in.
That's all for now, I'll definately post some fun pictures of our adventures to come when the camera is up and running.

Welcome!

Welcome to our new PRIVATE blog! Sorry, it's currently under construction but will certainly be fabulous in a few days, so bear with me. And hopefully there will be lots more posts to come. Meanwhile, scroll down, I imported the old blog. Have you heard our happy news?

And then there were four...

Most of you already know this, but I haven 't gotten around to posting that Dallas and I are having another baby! We're so excited! Our little bundle of joy is due September 2.  And for you math whizzes, that means Amaya and Baby will be roughly 13 1/2 months apart, although with any luck he or she will show mercy on me and come a couple weeks early!

Yay for 6 month pictures!

I've been waiting to post hoping to get Amaya's 6 month pictures back.  I don't have the CD yet but our fabulous photographer, Brianne Serrano (http://www.brianneserrano.com/) (http://www.myperfectportraits.blogspot.com/) posted some of Amaya's pictures on her blog and I couldn't help but steal them and post because they are so darned cute. I'll put up a slide show with them all when I get the CD.

This is the same bucket Amaya was in six months ago. I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!
p.s. we just found out we're going to SACRAMENTO this summer!

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was tons of fun! We stayed in Christmas Eve and watched Church movies and Amaya was so excited she woke up early Christmas morning to see what Santa brought (although Dallas really isn't a Santa fan)...

or was it the Easter bunny? Ok, so I never got around to buying stockings so I used Easter baskets, but no one seemed to mind.

Amaya opened present...

her grandparents and great-grandparents sure spoiled her this year!

We were so grateful to be able to spend time with our family and to know that everyone is safe and happy.  The gospel is such a wonderful thing and we are so thankful for our testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ.

And a couple things I haven't posted. We started Amaya on cereal, and while she's not necessarily a huge fan, she loves playing in her high chair!

Also, Amaya is so lucky to have two girl cousins just younger than her, and one on the way! It will be so fun when they all get older!

We'll have to take another picture when it's not almost bedtime!

We went caroling with some of our neighbors right before Christmas and it was so much fun (yes, Vanessa I stole this from your blog because I forgot my camera!)

Merry Christmas! We hope everyone has a wonderful new year!
