The Many Faces of Halloween

This year Halloween was a BIG day! We saw Dallas' parents in the morning then went down to Rigby and Dallas played football with his brothers and friends. My favorite quote of the day was from my nephew Payson. He said he was going to be an army guy for Halloween and I asked if that's what he was going to be when he grew up and he said, "Maybe, or like a football player or a dad or sumfin'.":)

Can't you tell Dallas is so excited for Halloween?

We went and saw my parents and my grandparents as well.

Amaya and her 2nd cousin Easton. He had the cutest little Batman costume!

That night we went over to Dallas' friend Chad's house for the (Unoffiicial) Annuel Halloween Costume Contest.  (ok, it was just our 2nd year getting together.)

This year I FINALLY got Dallas to dress up--at a high price.  I had to let him shave his head.

We went as an old man and a trophy wife, or in Dallas' words, "Basically your average French couple."  I didn't succeed in getting him in makeup and sprayed hair, but there's always next year.

Everyone's costumes looked sooo good!  Some of our favorites...

Dallin and Cecily's holy attire.

Father forgive them...

The only day of the year it's okay to be a transvestite.
Travis graced us later with his choreographed routine.

Sweatin' to the Oldies with Richard Simmons and company.

Think The Emporer's New Groove:
Kronk and Yzma

Elderly was a recurring theme.  Yes, that's Chad in the middle.

The after party

Doesn't Kaizer look so cute in his pumpkin costume?

Halloween Sneak Peak

You know when you see something really cool and you think, "I could do that!"and really you can't? I did that yesterday with sugar cookies.  They turned out a lot cuter in my head.

Dallas' own personalized sugar cookies ;)

And a sneak peak at Amaya in her adorable caterpillar costume.

We love Halloween! We're so excited!

A note about the background/music.  I was looking for a Halloween background and I stumbled across a WICKED background.  If you didn't know, Wicked is pretty much amazing and also my favorite musical.

Watch Me Grow!

Wow! Where has the time gone? I can't believe Amaya is already three months old!  Life is so busy being a full time mom and a part time student, I never have time to post to the blog.  So, here's all the stuff I've missed posting.

Two days old.

3 weeks old.

Bathtime @ 1 month old.

6 weeks old and full of smiles!

September 6 Blessing Day @ 7 weeks old

Playing X-box with Dad @ 8 weeks

2 months old

Hanging out with cousin Maylee.

Trip to Utah @ 2 1/2 months

2 1/2 months

When she isn't swaddles, Amaya always sleeps like this.  Check out that red hair!

Hood rats @ almost 3 month

Hanging out when Dad's out of town @ 3 months

Tummy Time.

We borrowed Grandma's jumper!

As you can tell, she thinks it's pretty awesome.

After the jumper and just prior to nap time. :)

Amaya has learned to scoot just a little.  It really freaks me out when I leave the room and come back to find her off the blanket.

This picture was taken today. Amaya loves to grab onto her clothes.  Not only are most of them now stretched out, they're pretty soggy from being in her mouth!

Two weeks ago Amaya was 12 lbs. 9 oz. and 23 inches long.  She's growing so fast! Yesterday I was giving Amaya a sponge bath and she managed to kick over the cup of water twice and pee on the floor.  What a pain! Dallas and her both thought it was pretty funny. We love our crazy little girl!

one down...a million to go!

I'm writing this with Amaya on my lap so excuse any typos :) she thinks she needs to be held all day.

Sunday was our first anniversary! yay!

They say the first year is the hardest and if that's the case, I guess we're going to have an even funner time this next year!
Anyway, I thought I'd post some pictures of our wedding.  There's more at the bottom of the page if you're like me and like to look at all the pictures.
the whole fam damily.. and then some
it was very hot that day and the sun was very bright :)
We were planning on going to the IF Temple then out to dinner, but RIGHT before Dallas came home, Amaya had three blowouts in one hour! Dallas came home to find both of us covered in poop, so we improvised and went to Winger's in Rexburg and a movie.  Oh, the joys of parenthood.  She's lucky she's so cute or she'd be in big trouble!

Our Beautiful Baby Girl

We had Amaya's newborn pictures taken when she was five weeks old. They turned out so great! I couldn't fit them all in one post so I made a slideshow. Below are some of the favorites.

Our photographer was Brianne Serrano. She did such a wonderful job! Her website is http://photosbybrianne.blogspot.com/
