4th of July and the Nursery

This year for the 4th we had a busy day! We attended our ward breakfast then went out to Menan and Dallas played softball with some of his friends from high school.

My mom came to watch some of his games and my sister was down from Pocatello so we got to see her for the first time in a few weeks.
That night, we went to Dallas' brother's house for an Abrams family barbeque and we discussed self-inducing my labor.
Dallas ended up talking me into taking castor oil that night and we spent Sunday morning in the hospital, only to be sent home because I was in false labor! Stubborn girl. Two weeks later and still no baby. I was super depressed and sure I was going to be pregnant for 6 more months, but Dr. Leavitt showed mercy on me and is going to induce me first thing tomorrow morning! What a nice man! With any luck we'll have a baby sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening! We're so excited!
Since it looks like our baby is coming this weekend, I hurried up and finished the nursery so I thought I'd post some pictures.

Dallas has been so nice helping me get everything ready! He's going to be such a good dad.

Look at all those clothes! What a spoiled little girl!

Birthday Party

We invited our family to come up to Rexburg for my birthday. We were planning on going swimming but the pool was closed for cleaning. Bummer!

Thanks for the cake Dallas!

It's been so long!

Goodness gracious! I haven't posted in almost three months! Our camera cord is MIA so I'll be sure to put up some pictures when we find it! (That's the funnest part) Anyway, here's an update on the Abrams Family:

I'm 30 weeks and we're pretty excited! Only 10 more until Amaya is here! (maybe less?) I've started getting Braxton-Hicks contractions, which aren't a lot of fun, but luckily they won't last forever.
Only 2 1/2 more weeks of school: ok, not really school, but work-school. Rocky Mountain is done May 29 then I'll have time to do all sorts of fun stuff, like decorate and make baby headbands and actually BREATHE!
We moved and it's been a long and exhausting process. We were homeless for about two weeks but Dallas' parents were nice enough to pick us up off the street and give us somewhere to stay. We're mostly unpacked, which means I get to start getting Amaya's room ready and ordering baby stuff! We just got a carseat and stroller and the crib is somewhere between China and Rexburg as we speak.
Mother's Day was a blast. We were able to see my mom and Dallas' and we had lots of fun. Dallas got me a recliner for the baby's room which was so sweet! I can't wait to use it!

Some upcoming fun events:

my birthday

the baby shower

Dallas' birthday (ok, not until July but I'm still excited)

We'll be sure to keep everyone updated and post lots of pictures!

It's a...

Yup! It's official! We're having a little girl and we're SO excited! We were actually pretty surprised, it seems like everyone in Dallas' family has boys, so we were just expecting a little boy. And boy were we surprised! The doctor looked at the ultrasound told us it was a girl, and Dallas said, "Are you sure?" :)
