Birthday Party

We invited our family to come up to Rexburg for my birthday. We were planning on going swimming but the pool was closed for cleaning. Bummer!

It's been so long!

Goodness gracious! I haven't posted in almost three months! Our camera cord is MIA so I'll be sure to put up some pictures when we find it! (That's the funnest part) Anyway, here's an update on the Abrams Family:


I'm 30 weeks and we're pretty excited! Only 10 more until Amaya is here! (maybe less?) I've started getting Braxton-Hicks contractions, which aren't a lot of fun, but luckily they won't last forever.
Only 2 1/2 more weeks of school: ok, not really school, but work-school. Rocky Mountain is done May 29 then I'll have time to do all sorts of fun stuff, like decorate and make baby headbands and actually BREATHE!
We moved and it's been a long and exhausting process. We were homeless for about two weeks but Dallas' parents were nice enough to pick us up off the street and give us somewhere to stay. We're mostly unpacked, which means I get to start getting Amaya's room ready and ordering baby stuff! We just got a carseat and stroller and the crib is somewhere between China and Rexburg as we speak.
Mother's Day was a blast. We were able to see my mom and Dallas' and we had lots of fun. Dallas got me a recliner for the baby's room which was so sweet! I can't wait to use it!

It's a...

Yup! It's official! We're having a little girl and we're SO excited! We were actually pretty surprised, it seems like everyone in Dallas' family has boys, so we were just expecting a little boy. And boy were we surprised! The doctor looked at the ultrasound told us it was a girl, and Dallas said, "Are you sure?" :)

We got our first ultrasound picture a few weeks ago. It was pretty exciting. The first ultrasound we did, the baby just looked like a sea monkey. but at this appointment we got to hear the heartbeat and see our little baby squirming on the monitor! It looked just like a baby on the screen when we were watching but the picture make him/her look more like a pinto bean.

The baby's head is in the bottom right hand corner. Now that our baby seems more "real", I've been dying to know

Are we going to have a boy or a girl?!?!?!?

We don't find out until February 25, which seems like an awful long time! But the other question that's been bothering me

Dallas is the winner of Preston's Cutest Baby 1987, so I have some pretty high hopes. I'm sure our little tyke will follow in Daddy's footsteps. I took some pictures of Dallas' trophy because I think it's so funny. He wanted to throw it away but I wouldn't let him.

Christmas...more than a month late :)

I've been chastised for not updating my blog. Sorry but I haven't taken a whole lot of pictures lately!

Here are some pictures of Christmas morning. You can tell we were both in a silly mood. Santa spoiled us :) Notice the wrapper in my picture. For some reason when I woke up I had a huge sugar attack! I think I ate my whole stocking in about 15 minutes!
